is important, even for credibility. But if you are going to do it for HHG, do it for everybody. For this, I blame the interent itself and not HHG.

Props...

But this article lets me know why N4G is going downhill,...the posters (at least half of them anyway).

Still great interview. HHG is a good dude,...at least respect him for it.

I arrived at my Best Buy 15 minutes before opening, and I waited outside the door. Three other people were waiting too, but it turns out none of them were buying games.

Lucky me! I was in the PS3 section for five minutes rifling through cases for that yellow sticker - I picked that out right away. Five different guys came in behind me soon after I got all my picks.

A couple of the guys knew about the sale online. One had the circular, and was asking if it was...

HHG is very charismatic and proactive, so it is not surprising that he is in touch with people in the industry. He actually has sources.

Lots of you on this site hate him, but he doesn't do anything different than most of the sites that are posted - bad grammar, spelling, flamebait articles. Everyday I can find an example.

I've written to him before about his use of grammar and website design, but I still can choose to read his articles or not. I don't have to...

I was half-expecting this, because if successful this could be a big push into the mass market for not just the 360, but the entire game industry.

Personally, I don't believe Microsoft has grown the industry this generation as much as Sony has, and no where near as much as Nintendo. But this here is exciting. I think it could potentially make the 360 a casual gamer friendly system without any uncertainty.

A character doesn't add much to replayability there buddy. It is something easy to add. DLC like the "Pitt" does.

I don't believe there has been any indication of Sony paying for a character.

Actually I believe that this will be like SCIV as you said. Home just jumped the gun. I expect a announcement for other characters.

Gears has been a wonderful series so far. Although I would love to have it on my PS3, and I do believe it can be improved. I believe this can all be accomplished with the 360.

As to why the first Gears is like the second (which isn't a negative in my book) I believe you have to look elsewhere than the technical ability of the 360.

Just because we don't like exclusive DLC on other systems and decide not the buy the game doesn't make it a boycott. The 360 game is gimped if it isn't comparable to the PS3 version. The value is lower, so I decide not to buy. Everyone on the forum who says that are not boycotting, they're making their intentions known.

Now an extra playable character is not a big deal, and fall far far short of what Bethesda is doing. Come on Joker vs. Level cap?

In principle I still hate exclusive DLC. I likely wouldn't get it for an XBox at all, although not having a playable character is a much less significant failing than a new map or extension of a campaign that Microsoft buys from 3rd party devs.

Eidos should do like SoulCalibur IV did with Yoda/Vader and have Robin/Nightwing as playable character in Arkham Asylum on the 360. That would be cool - and continue SCIV's theme of PS3/Xbox as evil/good.

I have the same impression. Look more and more different that inFamous.

This isn't about game exclusives. There is a much different precedent her. It is the Bethesda and Valve's in the world that will suffer.

We just buy other games. Microsoft just counts money. But these companies will see brand drop off. Their PS3 games are not worth the value. Many of us will rather get them used or discounted.

The antithesis of a fanboy is still a fanboy on these boards.

Exclusive DLC is becoming a failed experiment. It is more forgiveable for a dev to be totally exclusive. I don't buy games that have DLC exclusive to XBox. I just don't, not out of malice or hurt feeling, but out of a sense of my dollar's value.

before you drop criticisms on the 360. This was for the Japanese market.

Microsoft won't fail for the biggest E3 since 2002.

Not everybody has or can buy a $1000 computer with a Pentium 4 with 2GB or RAM to play video games. $200 is a mass market price, so I can afford that if I want to play Left4Dead.

A policy of seeking exclusive DLC while Sony doesn't is a good reason. You can expect more from your games with an XBox 360.

Last year, Microsoft played it close to the chest until E3 and kept an eye on the holiday season. They have the same strategy this year. Don't talk until after...

Yeah, so far...

Get a PS3 and thank yourself later. Even if you still prefer the XBox, you can't say you went wrong.

I don't think we're talking about the same thing.

I don't have a 360. My friends do. I play their version if it has more DLC. That is, if they bought a copy. I don't buy a copy...maybe ever unless it is a throwaway for my money like NGSigma.

Furthermore, I buy/play one game every month or two. No other time but that working full time. There is always something new out that I want. If I don't get to a game in a year, I likely never will.
